Job Description:
Reporting to the Human Resources Coordinator, the Assistant will acquire H.R. and administrative experience by applying his/her H.R. training and receiving assignments and feedback tailored to his/her professional needs and goals.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Research and development according to assigned special projects
- Data gathering, analysing and managing
- Preparation and analysis of statistical reports and graphs
- File documentation and management of confidential information
- Policies and procedures development, implementation and evaluation
- Job description development and revision
- Labour market research to develop and revise salary grids
- Resume screening exercise and coaching
- Interview and evaluation of candidates through mock interview with peers
- Preparation of H.R. correspondence to applicants
- Workshop and training session development
- Group facilitation
- Exposure to payroll functions through job shadowing
- Coaching on dealing with difficult H.R. situations and application of laws related to H.R. duties
- Other duties to suit professional development needs

Requirements: College Diploma or University Degree in Human resources or related field or experience. Member of the Human Resources Professional Association of Ontario (or eligible), CHRP Designation (or Eligible to write the exam). Knowledge of MS Office. Autonomous, as well as a team player. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Professional conduct in the treatment of confidential information. Adaptable and capable to work within timelines.
